The French champions Paris and Uruguay international Edinson Cavani signed a five year deal for an amount of euro 64 million ($84 million) on Tuesday.
“El Matador”, nick name of Cavani was the top scorer of last season with 29 goals.
He twitted which was shown on PSG’s official site that “I had three spectacular years in Naples, but here I am joining a very ambitious project,”
In addition, in the official press conference in the capital of France, he said that the offers made for joining the Qatari- backed side cannot be ignored.
Monaco, the French top flight invested a lot of amount in the players, most notably Colombian striker Radamel Falcoa, of which the deal worth 60 million Euros at the end of the last season.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi also added “The transfer of Edinson Cavani is further proof of the club’s ability to attract the best players in the world.”
