John Fox, the coach of the Denver Broncos is agitated with Jim Irsay, the owner of the Indianapolis Colts for taking what he has dubbed as ‘cheap shots’ at Peyton Manning, the Colts’ quarterback.
Fox Criticizes Irsay
Using his weekly SiriusXM NFL Radio appearance as the platform, Fox criticized the owner of Colts for having sounded ungrateful despite all that the quarterback had done for his team and the city, which includes winning the Super Bowl in 2007.
Irsay had commented to USA Today in an interview on Tuesday that the Colts had leaned towards Andrew Luck two years ago as they were looking for greater playoff success. In the process, they also fired Manning as they did not deem it worthy to pay the quarterback $28 million as roster bonus.
Usually, one would not expect Fox to criticize anybody given his disposition; however, it appears as if this time Irsay has managed to irk his sensitive nerve.
